Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

This readme is a description of the changes from the
original 7th Saga to 7th Saga: The New Class.  For more
information about the original, consult my Game Mechanics
Guide on Gamefaqs.com.  You will need a ROM with a header
to use this IPS (I think).

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

 1. Apprentices have been given new classes based on Final
    Fantasy 1 classes (plus "Robot" for Lux).
    a. Class names have replaced race names in the character
       select screen at the beginning of a new game.
    b. Character stats and stat increases at level-up have
       been changed (usually increased).
    c. Spell lists have been changed, and spells are learned
       at different levels (usually sooner).
    d. Allowable equipment has generally NOT been changed.
 2. Weapons and armor are more powerful.
 3. Attack spells are more powerful; armor has higher magic
    resistance to compensate.
 4. MP cost has been lowered for some high-cost spells.
 5. Two new spells have been introduced...
    a. FLEE: escape from battle with 100% success (except
       from bosses, apprentices, and Class 1 monsters)
    b. HOLY: single-target attack spell of a new element
 6. Two spells have been removed...
    a. ELIXIR: absurdly game-breaking; replaced by HOLY
    b. LASER 3: LASER 2 is now as powerful as LASER 3 was;
       the animation for LASER 3 is now used for HOLY
 7. More monsters have weaknesses to specific elements.
 8. Monsters' Magic and Speed stats have been slightly
    decreased near the end of the game.
 9. Monsters near the end of the game give double gold and
    experience.
10. New unique equipment, one for each apprentice, is
    available as random drops from the D.Night in the last
    dungeon; other equipment was eliminated to make these.
11. Seeds can be purchased in one of the last shops, and B
    Protect can be purchased from the last shop (finally!).

Bottom Line: Apprentices have more variety and balance, and
the game can be completed at a lower level (less grinding).
If you have played my other patch, 7th Saga Redux, you will
note that changes #2-#11 above are the same as that patch;
the only difference is the new class structure (change #1).

Fighter: Tough physical warrior with healing magic
Changes: +1 Power, +1 Guard, no attack magic, learns F SHID

Summary: Olvan has been beefed up on the physical side, and
he's not going to miss his weak attack magic. Since the FF1
Knight upgrade came with healing magic, I left that.

Changes: +2 Power, -1 MaxHP, learns buffs instead of attack
magic

Summary: With the POWER spell, his physical attacks are
deadly. The Bl.Belt class didn't learn magic in FF1, but I
thought the stat-boosting spells would be appropriate.

Note: I gave him FIRE 1 solely so that he's more manageable
as an opponent (i.e. he won't constantly attack with fists).

Summary: Lejes' magic has been de-emphasized in favor of
unparalleled agility. However, since the FF1 Ninja upgrade
learns attack magic, I left that.
