Final Fantasy Decapitalization Font

This is a reworking of the ugly Capitalized font used in Final Fantasy while keeping all the graphics, names, items, magic and everything else the same. It pretty much cleans up the capitilized Font and replaces it with a more modern font to make it more appealing to the eye.

This hack came about after seeing that all the hacks available usually changed the graphics and added in new words. This reworks the game as if square had of made the game using a more modern, decaptilized font such later games used without changing the text.

People that want to experience the original game, with all graphics and everything unchanged, as if it were like later Final Fantasy's will find use of this hack.

I was originally aiming this to be compatable with other hacks but to make comprimises to change the way the game stores the font data it will F* up probably with other hacks.

I also included some small standalone extras in the extra folder that will add features to this or any other hack and will make this more like a hack. Also included in the extra folder is just a modern-thick font ips patch that will be compatable with other hacks but won't decapatilize the game.

switch-to-original-fnt.ips        - For this hack only if you prefer the original font decapitialized.

Extra's: (these are also compatable with any FF rom)

faster-windows.ips                - Make dialogue windows scroll faster instead of waiting a few seconds to scroll
full-battle-screen-no-border.ips  - Remove the middle border in battles to show full screen battles like other FF's
medium-dash-B-enhancement.ips     - Add's medium speed dash ability in town and on map with B button
respond-rate.ips                  - Changes title screen default respond rate to fastest (8)
richer-outdoor-map.ips            - Changes contrast color of outdoor maps to more richer looking maps

(PS) - Other changes:

The title screen has been left capitalized.

The one change i did make other than decapitalize was to change the spells like (ALIT) to (xLit) because ALit is unapealing to the eye.
