Descripción de Super Mario Bros. Chaos Control

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

DIRECTIONS
----------
To get this Rom Hack ready:
-First, make sure you have a normal version of Super Mario Bros. 3, Rom format, on your hard drive, along with Lunar IPS (an IPS Patcher) and an emulator. And, of course, you need this IPS file.
-Open Lunar IPS and patch the file to the Rom.
-Open the Rom in your emulator and presto, you're ready to play!

  DO NOT:
-Patch the file to an already hacked or bad Rom. This will most likely royally screw your poor Rom.
-Patch to a Rom other than Super Mario Bros. 3. Ditto.
-Hack my hack. Quite disrespectful! I mean, even if you don't CHANGE anything and just look around via editor, it's still cheating and upsetting to me.
-Sell my hack. It's FREE, as in Zero-Cash-Necessary free.

I expect you to obey these requests, as it is, in Schwa's words, "The Honorable asset of a fighter". Of course, you're not a fighter exactly, but Schwa's words are still wise. Ah, but maybe you ARE a fighter...? I'll never know though, will I? ;_;

STORY
-----
"Muhuhahaha! At last, I have something POWERFUL!" Bowser exclaimed deep within the mines of a distant land. In his rough hand he held a jewel containing the ultimate power-- the Chaos Emerald. By the means of a dream Kammy Koopa had one night, they were able to trace this elusive jewel to it's very location underground. And now that Bowser had near unlimited power at his disposal, he was going to use it... to crush Mario forever.
Flying back to his homeworld via Clownmobile (the one he always flies around in), keeping the Emerald safe in a prism the entire way, Bowser headed back to World 8, Dark Land (or Castle of Koopa, whichever you prefer) and landed atop his castle. He and Kammy Koopa stood at the pinnacle, wondering what to do next. Kammy spoke:
"In my dream, the voice said, 'This contains the unlimited power of Chaos Control. Find it.' But what would THAT mean?"
Bowser shook his head. "Chaos Control... Hmm..."
Instantly the green Emerald lit up, emitting a noticable energy. Bowser laughed. "Okay! I figured it out! Take cover, Kammy!"
Kammy flew back on her broom about 100 feet or so. Bowser held the Emerald heavenward and shouted at the top of his lungs, "CHAOS... CONTROL!!!"
Immensely bright light poured out of the jewel, enveloping everything as far as the eye could see. And in reality, this light had covered every square inch of ALL 8 of the Worlds in Mushroom Kingdom! This was Chaos Control at it's strongest.
When the light cleared, World 8 was WAY different. Instead of a hot, dark, barren-like area, it resembled something like a twilight universe. Bowser and Kammy were amazed. "Wow! Kammy, let's go check out the new and improved Mushroom Kingdom!"
They flew across all the new Worlds, and were amazed further. They were made MUCH harder to travel on by foot, that's for sure! Bowser had accomplished the feat of transforming every World through the power of Chaos Control, but he wasn't done.
"I'll build 7 new Airships and power them with the Emerald. I'll send one Ship out to the 7 Worlds before mine, piloted by my Koopa Kids. I'll have all the Magic Wands re-stolen from the 7 Kings, who still don't know what hit them. And this will lure Mario to his doom! Muhuhahaha!!"

Meanwhile, right after the light cleared, Princess Peach (who was in Mario's house on the outskirts of World 1) looked out the window... and what she saw was NOT the Grass Land she was used to, but more like the surface of the moon. (The only difference would be that it was still daylight over the World they were in, making it look TRULY weird.) Peach quickly brought Mario to the window, and he was all "Ooh!"
Peach was worried and didn't know what to do, when news via an excited Toad reached her informing her that 7 out of 8 Worlds were under attack by a MASSIVE Battlecruiser.
"Wait a minute... 7 out of 8?" Peach inquired.
"That's right! Suspicious, eh? But I've got to tell the others!" And the Toad child ran off.
Mario didn't waste any time. "Ooh, no ya don't, big Bowser! It's-a Mario's day!" And ran down the road, en route to the World's Castle. He never noticed that Peach went her own sepearte way after he left the house...

Can Mario restore the effects of Chaos Control? The only way to do that would be to win the Emerald back. So good luck, Mario! And Peach, wherever you've gone off to... Good luck to you, too.

TECHNIQUES
----------
The laws of physics are exactly the same as before in the new Mario 3. Mario can jump and run, and through those two abilities alone, he can do MANY things. Most enemies can be beaten by jumping on them, but some can't. The ones that can't, well... The best way is usually through the Koopa Shell! Stomping a Koopa makes it hide in it's shell, duh, but the shell is a VERY good weapon. There are two ways to attack via shell:
-Run into the foe and slam it with the shell, or
-Get close and kick the shell once at eye level.
The pros and cons to this? The second way is usually more dangerous, as a flying shell can hurt YOU like anyone else, but it can also hit more than one foe-- in fact it destroyes any foes it touches. The first way, on the other hand, kills the shell AND the enemy at the same time. This way the shell won't riccoshe of a wall and damage you, but it can only be used against one enemy, rather than many.

The Pow Block, in this game, is actually a button. It turns coins to bricks and bricks to coins. But it doesn't last long! The trick to using the Pow Block effectively is to open as many new passages during the time it's active. Is there a wall of bricks somewhere nearby? Snag 'em as coins and you'll never have to deal with 'em again!

The difference between a small Mario and a BIG Mario is very important. A small Mario can fit in small passages better and dodge more easily, whereas a big Mario can smash bricks wide open from below. It's usually not a good idea to get hit JUST to become small, because small Mario, of course, can die in one hit.

The difference between Hammer Mario and Fire Mario is ALSO important. Fire Mario is the most excellent melee fighter, as his attacks hit ground-based enemies with ease and can even KO the Koopa Kids without making them mad. Hammer Mario is a heavy fighter; his hammers KO ANYTHING, and they lob in the air, making them effective against airborne enemies but NOT against ground enemies. Use the Hammer Suit mostly in castles or in levels with lots of flying enemies for the best results.

The Tanooki Suit is actually a very powerful weapon. The stone-mode can either be used to hide from enemies or projectiles, OR... Try solidifying in midair, and any enemies you land on can be KO'd more easily, as if you're in the Kuribo's Shoe.

And finally... the Magic Whistle. It's hidden SOMEWHERE in the game, and it's accessable from ANY of the first 6 Worlds... But it's NOT in any of the actual levels. There MUST be a way... Can you find it?

THE 8 WORLDS
------------

World 1: Murky Courtyard
This World suffered least from the effects of Chaos Control, being farthest away. The surface of this land is similar to the moon, as it is grey and dusty, but it is still full of plants and wildlife. There is also a river running down the middile of the World, a greenish hue to it, still perfectly safe for swimming... probably.
  Areas: 9
  Hammer Bros: 2
  Theme: Basic enemies and obsticles
  Koopa Kid: Lemmy

World 2: Desert of 100 Duels
Once a sunny desert, this land is now a tar-covered barren land, cracked and baking under the relentless sun. Koopa scavengers roam the endless land, attacking anyone they meet, hence the name of the World.
  Areas: 9
  Hammer Bros: 7
  Theme: Desert-type levels
  Koopa Kid: Morton

World 3: Magictrick Land
This World specializes in tricking and frusterating anyone inside. Drawbridges seem to be out of commission at the worst possible times, and there are tons of exciting moments inside the levels.
  Areas: 13
  Hammer Bros: 3
  Theme: A tricky Overworld
  Koopa Kid: Wendy

World 4: Shadow Mountain
This World became an azure, mysterious mountain reigon. Everything on the east side is HUGE, and Sledge Hammer Bros. constantly patrol their homeland, making passersby feel unwelcome... especially when there's a standoff.
  Areas: 13
  Hammer Bros: 4
  Theme: Giant-type levels
  Koopa Kid: Iggy

World 5: The Twin Midas Valleys
A secret city of gold with two sides... It is said that the only way from the west side to the east side is by way of a magical tower. This once prospering city now lies in ruins, and it's so eerie and quiet that time seems to stand still here.
  Areas: 14
  Hammer Bros: 5
  Theme: Switching between two maps
  Koopa Kid: Roy

World 6: Ocean Paradise
Most of the ice in Iced Land has now melted away due to a bright sun. The tidal level has risen and the land is now an ocean lined with beautiful glaciers. There is a Koopa Sea-Frigate patroling the lagoon in the center of the map... They say it guards something, but what exactly?
  Areas: 14
  Hammer Bros: 4
Theme: Ice-type levels with water in them
  Koopa Kid: Larry

World 7: The Uncharted Continent
This World is a haven for the daring explorer; plentiful in dense jungle, dry barens, caverns and coves, all just WAITING to be explored. The land contains many wild enemies, and though no Hammer Bros. patrol the surface, you may occasionally battle your way through a Piraniah Plant infestation.
  Areas: 15
  Hammer Bros: 0
  Theme: It's got the WORKS!
  Koopa Kid: Ludwig

World 8: Onyx Stronghold
Bowser's improved domain. Chaos Control, being strongest here, transformed his seemingly evil domain into a downright demonic twilight world. His castle, Bowser Scantum, is set up here, all the way in the far back of the World. Don't expect to get there without a fight, though... First you must fight through caverns, piraniah plants, tanks and a WHOLE lotta fortresses!
  Areas: 13
  Hammer Bros: 0
  Theme: Fortress-type levels
Koopa Kid: Bowser... who's NOT much of a kid
