Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

This is done in part to eliminate the badly-programmed Luka-in-jail event, which appears to have never been finished in the original game as the dialog makes little sense and when you "free" her from jail, she remains trapped behind the jail cell in all your subsequent visits for a time before she finally moves upstairs some time later. It also provides a better rationale for why Luka very curiously has a jail cell in the basement of her palace to begin with... Which pet monster she has will change over time as the game progresses. The progression is indexed to Whip orb acquisition: 1. Water Thug (Whip orbs 1, 2, and 3) 2. Shellblast (Whip orbs 4 and 5) 3. Turtlance (Whip orbs 6 and 7) 4. Ice Thug (Whip orbs 8 and 9) Important things to note: - How to combine this with the Variable Width Font hack: 1. Apply VWF, 2. Remove header, 3. Apply this hack, 4.
