Multiplicative Change FormDescription

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

This hack alters the list of monsters that the "Change Form" spell (and other transform attacks like "Lunar Magic") can transform enemies into.

The original pretty boring list was:

1. Rabite
2. Mushboom
3. Lullabud
4. Kid Goblin
5. Green Drop
6. Water Thug
7. Pebbler
8. Pumpkin Bomb

The new list is:

1. Rabite: Gotta keep the Rabite on the list! It matches the spell picture! ;)
2. Goblin: Spawns Ma Goblins. (Notably, these stop spawning by the end of the game without applying the "No Missable Monsters" hack. This gives you another way to fight an otherwise missable monster in perpetuity.)
3. Green Drop: Spawns more Green Drops.
4. Blue Drop: Spawns more Blue Drops.
5. Red Drop: Spawns more Red Drops. (Notably, these stop spawning by the end of the game without applying the "No Missable Monsters" hack. This gives you another way to fight an otherwise missable monster in perpetuity.)
6. Emberman: Spawns Embermen. (Notably, these stop spawning by the end of the game without applying the "No Missable Monsters" hack. This gives you another way to fight an otherwise missable monster in perpetuity.)
7. Basilisk: Spawns Eggatrices. (You can find exactly one Basilisk in the Mana Fortress, so they're not missable, but pretty rare so having another way to spawn them could be fun.)
8. Mad Mallard: Spawns Pumpkin Bombs. (Pumpkin Bombs already exist as a "Change Form" monster, so spawning the monster that spawns them seems like a clever enhancement.)

The main benefit of this arrangement is it allows "Change Form" to be used as a grinding spell. You can go anywhere and easily transform a monster into a monster that can make more monsters. This is useful for spell grinding, weapon grinding, and even a bit of level grinding if you acquire Luna early with the "Early Luna" hack and spawn a bunch of Emberman or Basilisks to grind against. This should make the spell more useful without making it too overpowered.

Note: To combine this with Proper-caser, apply Proper-caser and this hack first, then apply the companion Proper-caser compatibility hack last.

Changelog:

- 1.1: Updated in-game spell description.
